The Washington Post calls our attention to this bit of poetry from Elizabeth Warren where she discusses the hair-pulling absurdity of credit card agreements. If you’re in the mood to nod vigorously at your screen, watch the whole ten minute speech. Once again she proves herself more articulate, intelligent and yes, authentic, than just about anyone in Washington.

“In 1980, Bank of America’s credit card agreement was 700 words. If you write big, that’s a smidge over one page long. Their credit card contract today? Thirty pages by the time you add up the inserts. And 30 pages of dense, unreadable legalese. We’ve got to get rid of that, because markets can’t work with it.”
